Scheduled inspection rounds
Each round covers the reader area, the fascia, the keypad surround and the module's own test. Findings are entered on site, with photographs, against the terminal serial number.
At high-traffic locations regular inspection avoids the worst case: a terminal pulled out of service exactly where the most transactions happen.
